Bennink Dunin-Wasowicz welcomes Floor Koops and Maarten Stoop as Partners
We are growing! As the new year begins, we are thrilled to announce the continued expansion of the Bennink Dunin-Wasowicz team with two new partners, Floor Koops and Maarten Stoop, and two new Legal Associates.
Floor Koops
Floor Koops joined as partner. Until recently, Floor served as Global Sanctions Lead at ING Wholesale Banking. Floor combines over two decades of financial institution insight with private practice. In her former role Floor served as C-suite sanctions and export control adviser in multi-jurisdictional financing structures, trade finance operations and payment arrangements. As such she speaks the language of both corporate and banking stakeholders, serving clients operating across complex trade, export-finance, payment and global supply-chain environments while offering advice that addresses both business and financial-institution realities.
Maarten Stoop
Maarten Stoop joined as partner. A seasoned commercial lawyer and litigator with almost 18 years of experience, Maarten has extensive experience representing clients before the Dutch courts. His practice focuses on complex corporate and commercial disputes, including disputes between shareholders and other commercial parties. Alongside his broader litigation practice, Maarten has a strong sanctions and export controls practice, in which he regularly litigates and assists clients on these matters before the Dutch courts, as well as in administrative and enforcement proceedings. Maarten also serves as a trusted advisor to (supervisory) boards and regularly assists clients with commercial partnerships and participations.
New Legal Associates
In addition, having completed their traineeships, Melina Coelho Garcia and James Timmers-Yokoyama will continue with the firm as Legal Associates to support our pan-European practice with a global outlook.
